Entertainment Place

Many of the films and entertainment created at the studio have their premieres in the theaters at CityWalk and are later brought to life at Universal Studios Hollywood. This synergy is critical in a competitive environment where demands are evolving and technology is transforming tourism. The future isn't about being bigger — it’s about being exciting and sophisticated, and continually refreshing itself to ensure the vitality of entertainment.

Key elements in the future could include:

Universal Studios Hollywood
  • Refreshing the Studio Tour with new signature attractions, enhancing retail and dining, improving landscaping and pedestrian connections to the MTA Station.
  • In total, the Theme Park would create approximately 80,000 square feet of revitalized and new attractions, retail, dining and support facilities.
CityWalk
  • Upgrading movie theaters, enhancing retail and dining facilities totaling approximately 35,000 square feet and building a new 100,000 square foot live production studio where visitors become part of the action. The proposal also includes constructing a new 3,000 seat enclosed entertainment venue, adding a 500-room hotel and expanding and improving parking and circulation.
  • The Vision Plan anticipates the amphitheater could be replaced in the future in connection with these proposed enhancements within the Entertainment Place.
